About Laura Jane
I am an author and artist. I was inspired to write and draw from early childhood. As a little girl being read bedtime stories by my mum, I continued to avidly read, which sparked my imagination and creativity. I began writing stories and poetry. I have always loved art and would spend hours drawing at home. I published my first novel in 2014, followed by my first book of verse a year later. I have since written three further books and I also write short stories.
I draw, design and make greeting cards and bookmarks. I also do illustrations as artwork for the children's stories I write.
I love animals and nature with all my heart. They are within the entirety of my thought and being. I am blessed to live beside woodland and wildlife, with nature and habitat around me. The beauty of being near countryside, nature reserves, beach and sea is perfection.
A memory that will forever be with me from my childhood is of me and my sister making a garden for birds and wildlife to play in. We built a small rock garden made with pebbles and a bird bath to drink from and bathe in, hidden in the shade and dappled sunlight among the flowering shrubs of our garden - a safe haven for small creatures and elementals.

They encapsulate so much from within us, which the spoken word cannot convey;
evoking emotion, intrigue and inspiration.
I created enchanted heart as a place of reading, thought and repose; art and craft; my love and compassion for animals, nature and wildlife; peace and tranquillity. Everything which inspires me to write, draw, make, and voice.
I write and create from my heart for the joy of doing so, because it is what I love to do.
I believe the inner knowing of our soul we reach to for wisdom has the ability to bring synchronicity, symmetry, serenity and serendipity into being, and our being into perfect alignment with our true self. I hope to inspire others to look further beyond and further within.
My website followed shortly after the publication of my first two books, keeping with the theme and style of my art and writing.
